The Avon Tyrrell estate is ideal for a wide range of outdoor activities, whether it's for educational and activity holidays or for day visits. The activities are available for people of all ages and abilities. The activities get booked up very early, so please check on availability if you are thinking of booking accommodation as well. Safety is our top priority, we can also give you a copy of our site Risk Management Summary to show you what steps we take to ensure the safety of everyone who visits us, and also a copy of our Site Plan to give you an idea of where everything is. Our facilities and activities are inspected by Hampshire County Council and AALA. On-site activities are led by our own, experienced instructors, who are qualified by the relevant National Governing Bodies.
The minimum qualifications are: canoeing and raft building, B.C.U. Level 2 coach. Pool, RLSS national pool lifeguard. Ropes course / climbing tower, site specific award recognised by Ropes Course Development Ltd. Archery, GNAS leader.

All prices displayed are charity 'youth' prices applicable to not-for-profit and statutory organisations e.g.schools, young peoples' groups, voluntary and community groups etc. Rates for corporate / commercial customers are 15% higher than the displayed prices.

ZIP WIRE
Fancy a fast slide in the air over our lake? Try our 100 metre long Zip wire! Costs are £75 per session for residents, £90 for day visitors for a 1.5 hour session, max. 8 people per session so you should each get 2 or 3 runs on it. |

Residential groups staying in our main house can book a funky DISCO with one of our resident 'House' DJ's like MC Mikey Madness.
Yo, respect.....big shout goin' out etc. Not quite Ibiza but for all you hipsters, flipsters and finger poppin' daddio's, this costs £90 for at least 1.5 hours of simply great poptastic fun...No John Travoltas, Hi Ho Silver Lining sing-a-longs or line dancing please. CYCLING
Opened in 2006, a dedicated off road course within the estate which we are constantly expanding, with 2 levels of trails from easy to more technical. Please
click here for a map of the trails, and here for a userguide. Permit to ride prices are £2 for adults, £1 for U16's and 1/2 this for residents.

We require one adult teacher/leader/supervisor present at all activity sessions and/or min. ratio of one leader per 8 participants. Activity sessions include approximately 10 minutes for introductions/changeovers and approximately 1 hour 20 minutes of teaching (excluding disco dancing...). Due to busy periods and pressure on the facilities, for day visitors, we reserve the right to make an additional charge for very early arrivals or late departures.
