Discovery Walk

A sensory exploration with a difference! Explore Avon Tyrrell’s grounds and discover things that most people miss.  Discovery walks are designed to allow individuals to connect and interact with the natural environment.  During the session groups will use their sight, smell, touch, taste and hearing to investigate one aspect of the environment.

Activities vary, but can include close encounters with trees using touch and sound, tasting wild foods, creating smelly cocktails and natural postcards as well as using mirrors to experience flying through the trees like a bird.

This is a fantastic fun session recommended for groups aged 5 to 12 years old.

Session Time – 90 minutes

Group Size – Maximum of 35
