General What is the latest time we can check in? Are dogs allowed? Is Avon Tyrrell open all year round? Can I book activities on arrival, or during my stay? Do you have fishing facilities? Do you need a permit/licence to fish? Is tourist information available? Are maps of walking and cycling routes available? Our Self Catering Lodges: What do we need to bring? We provide the bulky items such as a duvet and pillow, so all you need to provide is the bed linen or sleeping bags, Linen can be provided on request for which there is an additional charge. Are towels/tea towels provided? Are there additional charges for gas and electricity used? What time can I arrive? What time must I vacate? Are prices per person or per unit? Can I book and make a payment over the phone? When is full payment due? Our Campsite Do pitches have hook-ups? Can I request a particular camping site? What are the arrival and departure times? We request that your group arrives 8pm, although late arrivals can be accommodated via our On Call person. If you anticipate a late arrival or experience any delays getting to us we would ask that you keep us informed.
No,we regret that we are unable to accommodate dogs on site, with the exception of guide dogs.
Yes, virtually all facilities are open all year, although camping is only permitted between March and October.
Activities can be booked during your stay but we cannot guarantee their availability, so we would strongly advise that if you would like to take part in activities during your stay that you book these at least 6 weeks in advance.
Yes, we have two well stocked fishing lakes on site. Closed season 15th March to 15th June.
Yes, in addition to your rod licence you require a day fishing ticket, which can be purchased from our reception.
Yes, at reception there are a number of leaflets and guides on things to see and do and our staff are always happy to help with ideas.
Yes, there are many footpaths, bridleways and open forest roads to explore, for more details please see our reception staff who will be able to advise you of suitable routes.
No, please bring your own.
No, the accommodation fee covers all services.
You can arrive at any time, but will only be able to access your accommodation after 3pm, once it has been cleaned and checked.
You must vacate by 10am.
Prices are per unit, but there is a limit to how many people can stay in each type of accommodation.
Yes, for Main House and Lodge bookings.
After your visit you will be sent a final invoice. Payment terms on your final invoice are 14 days upon receipt.
No, Avon Tyrrell offers simple, practical no fuss camping on a selection of sites around our grounds.
Yes, if it is available, although due to the mixture of groups of site, we may advise you of an alterative camping area.
Your pitch will be available from 3pm and you must vacate your pitch by 10am, although you are welcome to remain on site.
If you wish to book for a group of friends, or for a large party please specify at the time of booking. If for any reason we are unable to accommodate such a request you will be informed at the time of booking.
For small parties and families payment is required at the time of booking, for larger parties including those booking activities a final invoice can be sent to you after your visit. For more information on our terms and conditions please contact us.
