Avon Tyrrell activity centre is set in 65 acres of private grounds on the south west boundary of the New Forest and offering both environmental education and adventurous activities Avon Tyrrell is the ideal venue for a residential school trip, offering exceptional value for money.
Safety is a key priority and all our led sessions are run by fully qualified and experienced instructors. Details of our risk assessments and insurance certificates can be found in our downloads and links page, but if you require any additional information or paperwork please let us know as our staff are here to help and support you during the planning phase of your residential, as well as during your visit to us.
Our activities are run with a personal development approach using the ethos of challenge by choice to ensure that every young person works within their own ability levels and is encouraged to challenge themselves appropriately.
Our pricing structure is highly competitive and the centre operates throughout the year offering both peak and off peak prices to reflect our seasonal demand. In addition to offering 15% off our individual activity prices for residentials, we also offer residential guests three and five day package prices on either a full board or self catering basis. Our flexible accommodation and activity options enables our dedicated team of advisors to build a residential package specifically designed to your groups unique requirements and budget.

Following a number of recent government initiatives designed to promote healthy living and recognising the value of Learning Outside the Classroom, Avon Tyrrell provides a fantastic opportunity for young people to develop their personal and social skills in a completely different environment. Key stage II groups can also formally recognise the achievements made by their young people by including the Junior Achievement Awards as part of their residential package and uses the activities and experiences gained during their stay to form personalised learning portfolios.

Whilst we aim to make the centre and our activities fully inclusive we would strongly suggest that new schools visit the centre to discuss your specifc requirements and to get a feel for the site in advance of your groups arrival.
