Accessible Holidays at Avon Tyrrell

We are committed to being a fully accessible centre and strive to give everyone the same opportunities to experience, learn and develop through adventure and discovery.

We understand the needs are different for everyone and for this reason we have specialised staff who are passionate about inclusion to ensure we can discuss your needs and understand how we can best accommodate them.

If you have additional needs, there should be no holding you back. Our professional and friendly staff deliver high quality support in a safe, accessible environment. You can enjoy the outdoors and leave with amazing memories often having experienced something completely new.

Why is Avon Tyrrell unique? Set inside the New Forest National Park our location is wonderful and our staff, with their ‘can do’ attitude have the total belief that we should make every visit special.

We have the staff and equipment to enable you to participate in as many opportunities as possible, be it mountain biking on specialised bikes, climbing 10 metres up our climbing tower,  canoeing on our lake or much much more.

For organised groups, we are happy to host a site tour prior to your visit, as experience has taught us that this is often the best way for us to fully understand the extent of what is needed for your visit and how we can support you throughout your stay, it also allows you to see first-hand what we have to offer and ensure you can enjoy and relax when you arrive.

Guests of all ages and abilities can enjoy the centre knowing that we are always here for support when you need us. From our Guest services team to our qualified instructors, if you have a question, just ask. Our staff are fully trained to support and can advise you where needed.

We offer:

  • A variety of accessible accommodation options to suit all budgets
  • Additional equipment for use in accommodation and throughout the site
  • A range of adventurous and environmental outdoor activity experiences
  • Activity packages priced to suit requirements
  • Fully qualified Instructors trained to adapt sessions to meet individual needs
  • Family Inclusion events held throughout the year

"We wanted to say a huge thank you for a wonderful weekend - we thoroughly enjoyed all the activities and food and it was great to see both boys having such fun away from any kind of screen. Being able to use the Boma made all the difference to our son, allowing him full access to the whole site and allowing him to even join us on the mountain biking session. Thank you again - it was a very special weekend for us all and a lovely chance to spend time together as a family."

If you require any additional equipment or have any queries or concerns regarding what we can provide, please contact our Customer Experience Team on 01425 672347 or email info@ukyouth.org

Equipment will be required to be pre-booked when confirming your booking to ensure we have what you need available.
