Discover more about the natural environment, what lives there and what it leaves behind as you walk the grounds at Avon Tyrrell looking for signs of animals and wildlife.
Discover deer, rabbits, birds of prey and squirrels and use your identification sheet to record what you find.
Our Strawbale Classroom can then be used to discuss what you have found and view items that have been previously found and collected including; antlers, furs, skulls and owl pellets.
Interactive games may be used to further extend knowledge.

Fun: A popular activity, tracking sessions are great fun.
Skill: Our sessions are purposefully set so that individuals, after a period of instruction, gain a sense of personal achievement as they learn how to track, have patience and interpret signs supporting skill acquisition,
Personal Challenge & Achievement: Develop personal characteristics such as self-belief, perseverance and confident analysis.
Support and Cohesion: Our instructors encourage groups to support each other, enhancing team cohesion.
When incorporated as part of a development programme of activities, outdoor learning can improve group and leader familiarisation as individuals work closely together, often leading to raised levels of attainment and the promotion of life skills.
