Aimed at groups of disadvantaged young people aged 14+ our multi-level two-night residential leadership programme focused on the key characteristics of good leadership, delivers a combination of outdoor activities and an ASDAN accredited Youth Achievement Award to develop young people skills.

By participating in our Releasing youth potential, building leaders programme, individuals will have the opportunity to:

  • develop their individual leadership skills, helping them be more confident to motivate and influence;

  • learn the art of building relationships, working together, defining identities and achieving tasks effectively.

Through learning about their own capacity for leadership, young people will be more receptive to change and have a larger stake in building themselves a brighter future, improving their opportunities and social mobility.

Using our expertise as a high-quality outdoor learning provider, a practical experiential learning approach and our skilled team of facilitators, every programme is tailored to the learning styles and needs of the group.  The right outdoor programme can create a strong sense of accomplishment, build confidence and offer tangible positive feelings associated with success.  By creating a positive open and safe space for learning and providing the appropriate level of physical and cerebral challenge, individuals will be able to assess their leadership skills, see immediate benefits, reassess prior beliefs about their capabilities and develop in real time.

Releasing youth potential, building leaders encourages individuals to think in new and creative ways and see firsthand the result their decisions and actions have on those around them.  Individuals must quickly learn to work together and are encouraged to give and receive supportive constructive feedback that allows them to quickly put learning into practice.

Due to generous funding given as part of our 'The Big Give' campaign we can offer 16 free places for groups of 8 young people and 2 leaders.
