Looking for an unspoilt campsite in the New Forest National Park with good facilities and plenty for everyone to do?  

The New Forest is an incredible place to spend a weekend, and at Avon Tyrrell we offer true New Forest Camping in a natural environment. This is a family-friendly campsite which is also suitable for groups and with various camping areas you can decide if you want to camp in the forest trees or down by the lake. Wherever you choose, Avon Tyrrell is the perfect place to pitch up and enjoy the beautiful outdoors.

Facilities

  • Free equipped amenity blocks with hot water, showers, toilets and washing up areas. Boathouse and Reception are shared facilities. The Forest Camping is gender specific.
  • Plenty of stand pipes across the site providing easy access to drinking water
  • Two small play areas and Bouldering Wall 
  • Fixed communal BBQ areas
  • Outdoor dining shelters - Just bring your own BBQ (must be raised off the ground)
  • Recycling and rubbish points, plus Chemical disposal
  • Laundry room (coins and washing powder needed, available to purchase on site)
  • Reception shop for basic supplies (open 08:30-17:00) - Find out more here.
  • Cafe Explore for Breakfast and light lunches (check opening times)
  • Bransgore and Burley are only 2 miles away for any additional needs.

Please note:

  • We have no minimum night policy and do not charge extra for bank holidays
  • Payment must be made at time of booking and unless otherwise specified camping is non refundable
  • We do allow camper vans, caravans and small mobile homes and we have a number of electrical hook ups available around the site that will need to be booked in advance.
  • The maximum size mobile home that we allow is generally 15 foot although please check with Guest Services and we will try and accommodate where possible.
  • Gazebos will be charged extra due to the space taken.
  • Camping will be closed from 1st November - 1st March

Dogs

Due to demand we do allow dogs in certain camping areas during school holidays and at weekends. Restrictions do apply, so for more information regarding our dogs policy please contact us on 01425 672347.
