Wellbeing and the Outdoors

Outdoor experiences are often remembered for a lifetime, as they integrate key learning experiences with a sense of play and exploration, all of which support an individual’s wellbeing.  The outdoors provides a much needed setting for young people to connect with themselves and their environment and develop the skills and character they need in education, life or work.

At Avon Tyrrell, we provide a wide range of activities, which actively promote relationship building, social skills and problem-solving. We work directly with young people to change how they think and feel about themselves and their lives, building their personal, social and emotional skills and providing them with a safe and supported environment where they can learn about themselves and embrace new challenges
