Fishing
With our Grade II listed grounds in a private estate in the New Forest National Park, the lakes at Avon Tyrrell are the perfect setting for any angler to enjoy a day’s fishing. Sit back, cast your rod and relax and know you are aiming to catch some big fish 30lb. Our 2 fully stocked lakes contain a great variety of fish including; Mirror, Common Carp, Tench, Eels, Bream, Roach, Rudd and Perch.
COVID Update: For our 2020 season, we are currently only allowing season pass holders to fish on our lakes to help manage numbers. We will notbe accepting guests to day fish and there will be no overnight fishing at this time. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Season tickets
Adult £100 | Child £75 (Under 16)
Purchase a season ticket and fish the lakes day or night (some restrictions do apply). Season Tickets are strictly limited and all applications are vetted.
Day Tickets
Adult ticket £10 | Child Ticket £5 | Day visitor not fishing £3
Residential guests get 50% discount on day ticket prices.
Available to buy from reception, our day ticket allows you to fish between 8.30am and 4pm.
Please note:
- Activities do take place on the lake and have priority so no long casting.
- Alcohol is not permitted
- The lakes are closed mid-March to mid-June
- Lakes are occasionally closed for single days when a large event is held, dates are publicised in advance
You must have a Rod Licence to fish in our lakes and these cannot be purchased on site
