Second Chef

Salary: £17,000 to £20,000 DOE

Hours: 42.5Hrs per week

Do you enjoy being a chef but not always the excessive hours?  We have a fantastic opportunity, UK Youth is actively seeking a Second Chef to work in our main Kitchen at our Charity’s Outdoor Activity Centre, Avon Tyrrell.

Working in a Grade 1 listed house, set within 65 acres of ground in the heart of the New Forest you will report to the Head Chef and be his deputy.  Assist with the day to day running of the kitchen, coordinating and managing the kitchen as and when required. This role enables you to further develop your professional skills in a fun and adventurous surrounding.

Essential Requirements

  • Health & Safety Food Hygiene certificates
  • Experienced as a kitchen Chef

Avon Tyrrell Outdoor Centre provides outdoor learning opportunities and adventure activities and we are open 7 days a week and are fully operational 50 weeks of the year, so evening and weekend work may be required on a rota basis.
