 The half term is fast approaching, and before you realise it the kids are off and we’re suddenly trying to sort out last-minute ideas of fun things to do with the family in February! We’ve got you covered with our top 5 fun things to do with the family in the New Forest this February half term.  

Enjoy some food in the forest 

Spanning across around 220 square miles, it’s safe to say that there are plenty of places to enjoy a meal out in the New Forest! From delicious pub lunches to fancier afternoon teas (the scones at Careys Manor are fantastic) there really is something for everyone! Looking for a versatile child-friendly pub lunch, the Snakecatcher in Brockenhurst has a great outdoor play area and yummy food.  

Head out for a walk or hike in the forest – no matter the weather 

Before your pub lunch why not work up an appetite and explore the New Forest by going for a walk or hike? Get the adrenaline going 

Keeping the kid’s (and your) weekends full of fun is always a great idea, so why not try something new and exciting? Our 65-acre site has adventure activities in the New Forest perfect for families with children aged 5 and up! From climbing to shooting the bullseye on archery and reaching new heights on our tree-top trail there is so much to be enjoyed from just £15pp for a 90-minute activity session.

One of the fastest and most immersive ways to explore the New Forest is by bike, and we have got you covered with full-day bike hire from £13 per child. Pack a picnic and explore the New Forest, or cycle around the forest and enjoy a pub lunch at your halfway point! There are plenty of pubs and routes to enjoy for all abilities and ages.  

Make a staycation out of it! 

As you can tell, there really is plenty of things to do during February half term in the New Forest, but you’ll also want to make sure that you get a chance to rest and chill – so why not make a weekend of it?
