Celebrating Volunteer’s Week
We want to take this opportunity to celebrate all the volunteers who support us at Avon Tyrrell every year. As a National youth charity, the impact volunteers has is immeasurable. We’re joining celebrations during Volunteer’s Week to highlight the vital contribution to us at Avon Tyrrell, our outdoor centre in the New Forest National Park.
Every year, we have groups supporting our teams with a variety of jobs across the site. There’s everything from painting rooms in the Manor House to helping to build a new shelter and path clearing to gardening.
We all know the benefits of volunteering:
- Gaining new skills
- Mental and physical health and wellbeing
- Giving something back
- Improving your confidence.
And by supporting us, you are also supporting young people from across the country to reach their full potential. We provide young people with the opportunity to participate in high-quality experiences that deliver learning and personal development. Our aim is to increase the accessibility and quality of outdoor learning for young people across the UK- helping them to experience, learn and develop.
We are always in need of support and time from volunteers, we welcome corporate groups for a day, individuals for few hours or regular committed hours.
