Our Campsite

From 1st March to 31st October Avon Tyrrell Camping has everything you need for your perfect holiday, from a clean and tidy surrounding set in a stunning 65 acre private estate, to quality accommodation, fantastic facilities and a chance to sample some fun packed adventure.

There are 7 camping areas situated around the site all set within mature parkland and as our pitches are not marked you can choose where you camp within your area.  All pitches have easy access to drinking water, recycling and rubbish points, two fully equipped amenity blocks with hot water and all day showers, a washing up area and there is a public laundry room available on site.  Facilities are available for disabled and young families as Avon Tyrrell is a fully accessible, safe site. 

We have a souvenir shop on site with and milk and bread available on request from reception but  the villages of Bransgore and Burley are nearby for all your needs.   New to Avon Tyrrell is the 'Tyrrell's To Go...' Cafe which offers a take away service to allow guests to choose where to eat on site - the menu is given out by reception staff with your paperwork when booking in.

Our Activity Centre has something to offer all ages from high ropes, climbing, abseiling, kayaking and a 40ft zip wire over our beautiful lakes.   You can book these activities for groups up to 8, but if you prefer a less planned holiday, please come to reception where you can find out what daily drop in activities are available from the beginning of the school summer holidays.  Please view our activity price list for full details.

For those of you who prefer a more relaxed holiday there is a heated outdoor pool available which does need to be booked, fishing lakes and guided walks on the New Forest National Park.  All guests staying on site have FREE access to our woodland playground area and our three bike tracks of varying abilities that have direct access to the New Forest.  We have two new additions to our bike tracks that are for the experienced rider and to ride on these an induction is needed, which can be booked at reception.  As Avon Tyrrell is on the Hampshire/Dorset border, the sandy beaches of Highcliffe, Southbourne and Bournemouth are only 15 minutes drive away and the beautiful harbour towns of Mudeford and Lymington are nearby.  If you would like to have a unique camping experience for your family or friends, why not try our brand new Tyrrell Tipis which are set in their own secluded woodland village on site?  Self catering holidays are also available in our Scandanavian style lodges and for larger groups there is our find Grade I listed Country House offering full board accommodation.

Here at Avon Tyrrell we offer a unique New Forest Camping experience with a few electric hook ups but no evening entertainment as we believe the Forest itself has plenty on offer. Campervans and touring caravans are welcome and we have a chemical disposal point for these, however, due to the size of our caravans and mobile home camping area, we do have a size limit of 15ft for camping vehicles on site.
