Catering Assistant

Situated in The New Forest National Park on the beautiful South Coast, Avon Tyrrell Outdoor Centre is looking for hard-working and enthusiastic staff to join our AT services team.

Candidates should have a polite professional manner and some previous experience of either working in a kitchen or in a customer facing role.


What we can offer you:

Salary: £8.25 per hour

Hours: 10 - 37.5 per week, fixed or variable contracts available

Roles and Responsibilities

To work in the Avon Tyrrell main kitchen and café to:

Interact with guests in a polite and professional manner

Help prepare and serve meals to guests, ensuring meals are provided on time and meet guest requirements

Answer questions (training provided) regarding allergens and dietary information

Ensure all catering areas (including dining area, kitchen servery and café) are maintained to a hygienic, clean and tidy state

Carry out tasks as per the cleaning schedule including servery and pot wash area

Adhere to food hygiene guidelines

Support cash handling and taking orders, when working in the cafe
